Design Concept: The new construction of Sweet Like Cinema is a movie theatre that has been challenged to open with safe post-pandemic guidelines and include a soothing, autistic-friendly space. New Jersey has high autism rates due to excellent diagnostic services they provide. Surrounding acoustics and special effects that enhance the cinematic experience overwhelm the senses and responses of autistic individuals. Ergo, the new, movie theatre construction will include an autistic-friendly space for autistic individuals to relocate to so everyone can have a satisfactory experience during the film.
